Ooty
Ooty is a popular hill station in India. It is located in Nilgiri Hills. It is more than 2700 metres above from the plain region. More than 90,000 people are living in ooty. The Nilgiri’s was ruled by Chola Empire before 400 years ago. During the British rule Ooty developed rapidly. Ooty is proudly called as “Queen of all hill stations”. One amazing thing is even though it is 2700 above the sea level it has got good Train facilities. Its summer temperature will be around 15′ Celsius and its winter temperature will be around 0′celcius. The languages spoken in ooty are Tamil, English, and Kannada etc… Some of the landmarks in Ooty are Stone house, Toda hills, Railway Station, Ooty Lake and boat house, the fern hills palace, kandal cross shrine, st.stephens church, Lawrence school etc… Apart from this there are many tourist spots like:

There is a famous botanical garden in ooty in which more than thousand varieties of flowers are available for the tourist people. This botanical garden was laid in 1847 and its area is 22acres. This Botanical garden has a 21 year million old tree. Ooty has good transportation facility. So spend your holidays with your family in ooty and have fun!!!
